Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using both., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
About the service
both. is a private conversation tool for couples. You and your partner answer questions separately; the service reveals only the areas where your answers create shared ground. both. is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, or a diagnostic service.
Who can use both.
You must be at least 18 years old to use both. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you will provide accurate information if you choose to add a recovery email.
Accounts and anonymity
You do not need a traditional account to use both. Access works through anonymous sessions and single-use invite links. If you add a recovery email, you are responsible for keeping access to that email secure. We are not able to recover a space without the recovery email or invite link you used.
Acceptable use
You agree to use both. only for its intended purpose: to have safer, more honest conversations with your partner. You may not use the service to harass, coerce, abuse, stalk, or illegally record anyone; to share unlawful content; to interfere with the service; or to attempt to access another user’s answers.
Your content
Answers, notes and plans you enter belong to you. You grant us only the limited right to store, process and display them as needed to run the service. You are responsible for what you write. We do not monitor private answers, but we may remove content or suspend access if we become aware of illegal or harmful use.
Payments
Some features may require payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before purchase. The founding lifetime offer, when available, is a one-time purchase for ongoing access to the described features for as long as both. is offered. All purchases are subject to Stripe’s terms and to any additional terms shown at checkout.
Intellectual property
The both. brand, design, question library, software and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer them without our permission.
Disclaimer
both. is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or suitable for your particular relationship situation. A shared interest shown in the app is a starting point for conversation, not consent to any activity. Always communicate openly with your partner and respect each other’s boundaries.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of both., including any relationship outcomes. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred euros if you have not paid.
Termination
You can close your space or stop using both. at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if we need to protect the service or other users. Closing a space deletes its content.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where required, the laws of the EU member state from which both. operates. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that member state, unless mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of both. after the changes means you accept the updated terms.
